Uważajcie na fikcyjne kwartery – ostrzegają policjanci
Uczulają na oszustów oferujących noclegi w nieistniejących bądź nienależących do nich pensjonatach czy pokojach, w związku z licznymi zgłoszeniami o takim procederze na terenie Sopotu.
W ciągu kilku minionych dni na policje zgłosiło się kilkanaście osób, które wpłaciły zaliczkę za noclegi przy ulicy Armii Krajowej oraz przy Morskiej w Sopocie, a po przyjechaniu do miasta okazało się, że w budynkach o podanym adresie nikt nie oferuje apartamentów na wynajem. Zanim zdecydujemy się przelać pieniądze na wskazane konto, należy zweryfikować właściciela obiektu – radzą policjanci.
Do myślenia powinna nam dać niska cena za wynajem w atrakcyjnym miejscu, maile na bezpłatnej poczcie, brak strony internetowej oraz brak numeru stacjonarnego – oszuści często podają wyłącznie numer komórkowy. Wskazany adres można sprawdzić na mapach w internecie, przeczytać internetowe komentarze. Po wpłaceniu zaliczki należy zachować dowód wpłaty oraz historię e-maili. To wszystko może pomóc w ustaleniu sprawcy oszustwa.
