Tydzień Flamandzki w Teatrze Szekspirowskim – 15-21 marca
Jest on kontynuacją rozpoczętego w zeszłym roku cyklu Gdańskiego Teatru Szekspirowskiego pt. Teatry Europy, którego celem jest prezentacja kultury i sztuki poszczególnych krajów wchodzących w skład Unii Europejskiej.
Tydzień Flamandzki w GTS otwierają dwa wyjątkowe spektakle, pierwszy to: Narkotyki trzymają mnie przy życiu (DRUGS KEPT ME ALIVE) w reżyserii wybitnego, kontrowersyjnego i obrazoburczego artysty, choreografa, scenografa i reżysera Jana Fabre’a; drugi to: AFRICA napisana i wyreżyserowana przez wybitnego powieściopisarza, poetę i dramaturga Petera Verhelst’a specjalnie dla odtwórcy głównej roli Oscara Van Rompay, aktora Teatru Niderlandzkiego z Gandawy (NTGent), który pół roku mieszka w Europie a drugie pół spędza w Afryce.
Kolejny weekend to szansa na spotkanie z dziełem największego współczesnego flamandzkiego reżysera Luka Percevala, spektaklem FRONT w wykonaniu NTGent and Thalia Theater Hamburg, opowiadającym o prawdziwym życiu żołnierzy w okopach podczas pierwszej wojny światowej.
W programie są także dwa niezwykłe koncerty – spotkania z folkiem, jazzem i muzyką dawną: Osama Abdulrasol Quartet oraz Zefiro Torna. Zapraszamy również do Teatru w Oknie (ul. Długa 50/51) na prezentacje filmów uznanego flamandzkiego reżysera Felixa Van Groeningena.
Program dopełnia wyjątkowa konferencja naukowa pt.: Sztuka południowych Niderlandów. Gdańsk i Rzeczpospolita, która odbywa się w NCK (wstęp wolny).
W ramach Tygodnia Flamandzkiego w Gdańsku organizowanych jest też wiele wydarzeń w przestrzeni miasta oraz w innych instytucjach kultury i nie tylko. Szczegółowe informacje znajdują się na stronie: http://flandersweekgdansk.eu.
