Turniej Gawędziarzy Ludowych we Wielu – 8-9 sierpnia
8 i 9 sierpnia odbędzie się 37. Turniej Gawędziarzy Ludowych z Kaszub i Kociewia.
Impreza organizowana jest od 1978 roku we Wielu – miejscu, z którego pochodzi kilku wybitnych Kaszubów. Patronują oni wyróżnieniom przyznawanym podczas turnieju w trzech kategoriach: gawęd autorskich i niepublikowanych, gawęd publikowanych oraz gawęd spoza Kaszub i Kociewia.
Wykonawcy gawęd autorskich i niepublikowanych zawalczą o nagrodę imienia Hieronim Derdowski. Ten pisarz i poeta, urodziny ponad 160 lat temu we Wielu, znany jest m.in. jako autor poematu Ò panu Czorlińsczim co do Pucka pò secë jachôł, z którego pochodzą słowa Marszu Kaszubskiego.
Patronem trofeum w kategorii gawędy publikowanej jest pochodzący w Przytarni k/Wiela Józef Bruski – z wykształcenia lekarz, z zamiłowania gawędziarz i badacz kultury ludowej.
Goście spoza Kaszub i Kociewia wezmą udział w konkursie o nagrodę im. Wincentego Rogali – barda i gawędziarza, znanego w całym regionie z działalności na rzecz popularyzacji kultury kaszubskiej.
Patronat nad wydarzeniem obejmuje m.in. Zarząd Główny Zrzeszenia Kaszubsko-Pomorskiego.
