Szybowcowe Mistrzostwa Pomorza – Korne 2015 – do 2 maja
To już piąta edycja Szybowcowych Mistrzostw Pomorza, której organizatorem jest Sekcja Szybowcowa Aeroklubu Gdańskiego, podczas których na przełomie kwietnia i maja wrota Borów Tucholskich stają się szybowcowym centrum Pomorza.
Przewidywany plan dnia zawodów:
– godz. 8:00 – wyhangarowanie / przygotowania
– godz. 9:00 – odprawa
– godz. 9:30 – transport szybowców na start
– godz. 10:30 – 12:00 – starty do konkurencji
– godz. 15:00 – 18:00 – lądowania i hangarowanie szybowców
– godz. 19:00 – omówienie dnia i analiza lotów
– godz. 20:00 – ognisko / integracja
Jak to się dzieje, że coś co nie ma silnika potrafi utrzymać się w powietrzu przez kilka godzin i przelecieć kilkaset kilometrów? Odpowiedz na to pytanie będzie można znaleźć podczas Szybowcowych Mistrzostw Pomorza, które odbędą się w dniach 26.04 – 2.05.2015 na lądowisku Korne niedaleko Kościerzyny.
Zawody szybowcowe polegają na pokonaniu w jak najkrótszym czasie wyznaczonych tras (najczęściej o długości 100-500 km). Szybownik, obok rywalizacji z innymi pilotami, przez cały czas rozgrywa swoistą partię szachów z siłami natury. Szybowiec nie ma silnika i żeby przelecieć wyznaczoną trasę, pilot musi szukać i jak najlepiej wykorzystywać noszenia termiczne. Obok pogody i właściwości szybowców, zasadniczą rolę odgrywają tutaj umiejętności pilotów, ich doświadczenie, a przede wszystkim strategia, umiejętność podejmowania decyzji. Mistrzostwa nie ograniczają się jedynie do powietrznych wyścigów. Przy tej okazji Sekcja Szybowcowa A.G. stawia sobie za cel stwarzanie warunków dla młodych pilotów do zdobywania cennego doświadczenia, co przekłada się na coraz to lepsze wyniki osiągane w zawodach wyższej rangi.
Impreza ma charakter otwarty i jest doskonałą okazją do pierwszego kontaktu z lotnictwem. Każdy kto ma ochotę, może przyjść na lotnisko, podziwiać starty i lądowania, porozmawiać z pilotami i zasiąść za sterami szybowców.
