Szpitale w Gdyni i Kościerzynie dostaną łącznie 3 miliony złotych
Szpitale w Gdyni i Kościerzynie dostaną łącznie 3 mln zł – z konkursu profilaktyka chorób naczyń mózgowych. Dofinansowanie z Ministerstwa Zdrowia otrzyma Szpital św. Wincentego a Paulo w Gdyni oraz Szpital Specjalistyczny w Kościerzynie.
Pieniądze zostaną przeznaczone m.in. na: badania przesiewowe, kampanie informacyjno-edukacyjną, film instruktażowy oraz stworzenie portalu internetowego. Celem jest wdrożenie Ogólnopolskiego Programu Profilaktyki Chorób Naczyń Mózgowych, w szczególności udarów mózgu i przemijającego ataku niedokrwiennego. Choroby naczyń mózgowych to coraz istotniejszy problem nie tylko medyczny, ale i społeczny oraz ekonomiczny. Dotykają najczęściej osoby aktywne zawodowo. Zazwyczaj ich skutki są nieodwracalne i dlatego są najczęstszą przyczyną inwalidztwa u ludzi powyżej 45 roku życia. Podstawowymi czynnikami ryzyka są m.in. nadużywanie alkoholu i tytoniu, otyłość brzuszna, nadciśnienie tętnicze, cukrzyca czy zaburzenia gospodarki lipidowej. Dlatego też konieczne jest podwyższenie świadomości społecznej oraz poprawa wiedzy pracowników podstawowej opieki zdrowotnej. Zajmie się tym 9 szpitali, w tym w naszym regionie lecznice w Gdyni i Kościerzynie.
