Rumia wyróżniona za promowanie ekologicznego podróżowania
Za promowanie ekologicznego podróżowania – Rumia została wyróżniona na podsumowaniu kampanii Europejskiego Tygodnia Zrównoważonego Transportu. Hasłem tegorocznej, wrześniowej akcji było: „Przesiadaj się i jedź”.
– Dostrzeżono naszą zabawę w mediach społecznościowych poświęconą promocji ekologicznego transportu – mówi zastępca burmistrza Rumi Piotr Wittbrodt.
Polska zajęła czwarte miejsce w światowej klasyfikacji, a spośród 190-u miast i gmin najbardziej zaangażowane wyróżniono na gali w Warszawie. Zwieńczeniem kampanii w Rumi był miejski przejazd rowerowy połączony z tematycznym festynem. – Zorganizowano je z inicjatywy mieszkańców w ramach budżetu obywatelskiego, ale samorząd też dba o rowerzystów – przystępując choćby do systemu roweru metropolitalnego MEVO. W Rumi rowerzyści mogą już korzystać z czterech całorocznych stacji naprawczych. Zlokalizowano je w okolicach kolejowego dworca, przy hali MOSiR-u, koło ronda im. Pileckiego oraz w pobliżu sanktuarium przy ulicy Dąbrowskiego.
