„Próchno i Rdza” – Zlot jachtów z duszą w Gdyni – 9-11 X
27 jachtów o klasycznych konstrukcjach z drewna i stali zawita w najbliższy weekend (9-11 października) do Gdyni. Będzie je można zwiedzać, obserwować w paradzie wzdłuż Bulwaru Nadmorskiego oraz bawić się wraz ich załogami podczas koncertu szantowego.
Zlot jachtów z duszą „Próchno i Rdza” organizowany jest co roku na wodach Zatoki Gdańskiej w drugi weekend października. Jak do tej pory odbyło się sześć edycji tej imprezy.
W tym roku, z okazji 50-lecia Pomorskiego Związku Żeglarskiego, „Próchno i Rdza” po raz pierwszy zawita do Gdyni. W czasie Zlotu miłośnicy klasycznych jachtów o konstrukcjach drewnianych i stalowych spotykają się, aby móc pokazać mieszkańcom Wybrzeża i turystom kawałek pływającej historii polskiego żeglarstwa. Tak też będzie i tym razem.
W Gdyni pojawi się 27 jachtów i ponad 200 żeglarzy z całej Polski. Wśród nich będą m. in. „Freya”, pionier polskich rejsów arktycznych, „Copernicus”, uczestnik pierwszych załogowych regat dookoła świata czy „Isfuglen” mający za sobą rejs śladami Ernesta Shackletona. Jachty będzie można zwiedzać jak również podziwiać podczas parady, która popłynie wzdłuż Bulwaru Nadmorskiego. Otwarty dla mieszkańców Wybrzeża i turystów będzie także koncert zespołu „Mechanicy Szanty”. Chętni zaś będą mogli spróbować bezpłatnego pływania na oldtimerze „Knudel”.
Gościem specjalnym imprezy będzie „Barlovento II”, który w tym roku, pod dowództwem kpt. Macieja Sodkiewicza (organizatora Zlotu), pobił rekord świata w żegludze na Północ. Jacht i jego załoga zostaną uroczyście powitani w Gdyni. Przy okazji „Próchna i Rdzy”, w Alei Żeglarstwa Polskiego, odbędzie się również odsłonięcie tablicy poświęconej Witoldowi Bublewskiemu, jednemu z głównych organizatorów harcerstwa wodnego w Polsce.
Podczas Zlotu oficjalnie zakończony zostanie Pomorski Sezon Żeglarski 2015. Organizatorem Zlotu jest Szkoła Żeglarstwa Sekstant. Partnerami strategicznymi zostali Pomorski Związek Żeglarski i miasto Gdynia.
