Pracownicy socjalni mają dzisiaj swoje święto
Na co dzień pracują na rzecz osób w trudnej sytuacji życiowej – dziś pracownicy socjalni mają swoje święto. W województwie pomorskim pracuje ich prawie 6,5 tysiąca.
– To nie tylko urzędnicza posada, ale przede wszystkim zawód z misją – mówi dyrektor chmieleńskiego GOPS Gabriela Jóskowska.
Większość w Ośrodkach Pomocy Społecznej i Domach Pomocy Społecznej, ale także w Powiatowych Centrach Pomocy Rodzinie i Ośrodkach Wsparcia. Co roku samorząd województwa pomorskiego nagradza najlepszych pracowników socjalnych za wybitne i nowatorskie osiągnięcia. Choć święto przypada dziś to gala odbyła się w ubiegłym tygodniu. Nagrodę Marszałka otrzymała m.in. Elżbieta Michalska z MOPS w Lęborku, Barbara Kowalewska z Gminnego Ośrodka Pomocy Społecznej w Szemudzie i Agata Kowalewska ze Środowiskowego Domu Samopomocy w Gdyni.
