Poprawia się sytuacja finansowa Związku Gmin Wierzyca
Prawie 6 mln zł za wywóz i zagospodarowanie odpadów zapłacili w zeszłym roku mieszkańcy Kościerzyny. Ich zaległości jednak wciąż wynoszą ponad 300 tysięcy złotych.
– Po ustabilizowaniu się sytuacji finansowej, nie rozważamy opuszczenia Związku – mówi burmistrz Kościerzyny Michał Majewski.
Takie dane przedstawiły wczoraj władze Związku Gmin Wierzyca podczas sesji Rady Miasta. Związek odpowiadał za gospodarkę śmieciową większości kościerskich i starogardzkich gmin do momentu, gdy dwa lata temu opuściło go 9 samorządów, w tym Karsin i Liniewo. Przyczyną problemów była m.in. słaba ściągalność należności od mieszkańców. Uruchomiono więc zorganizowaną akcję windykacyjną – wysłano ponad 9 tysięcy upomnień, mieszkańców odwiedzali pracownicy Związku w asyście Straży Miejskiej. W efekcie odzyskano ponad półtora mln złotych, w tym 133 tys. zł w Kościerzynie. – To znacząco poprawiło naszą kondycję finansową – mówi prezes Związku Gmin Wierzyca Marcin Nowak. Związek Gmin tworzy obecnie 11 samorządów, w tym miasto i gmina Kościerzyna oraz gminy Nowa Karczma i Stara Kiszewa. W Związku Gmin Wierzyca ogłoszono właśnie przetarg dla firm na odbiór śmieci od października tego roku. Wtedy też zaczną obowiązywać nowe zasady segregacji na pięć frakcji, w tym osobno papier i szkło.
