Nad Morzem Bałtyckim zmiany temperatury
Nad Morzem Bałtyckim temperatury mogą wzrosnąć o nawet 8 stopni Celsjusza zimą i o 4 stopnie latem – prognozują naukowcy z krajów nadbałtyckich.
Jak donosi dzisiaj Metro – pod kierunkiem niemieckiego ośrodka Helmholtz-Zentrum Geesthacht blisko 150 oceanologów, meteorologów i hydrologów z 12 krajów przygotowało opracowanie dotyczące zmian klimatu i ich konsekwencji dla naszego regionu. Wynika z niego, że nad Bałtykiem będzie coraz cieplej, wzrośnie też o około 2 stopnie Celsjusza temperatura wody. Zdaniem naukowców szybciej niż sądzono dotychczas będzie rósł poziom wody w Bałtyku. Pod koniec tego stulecia może być wyższy o około 30-80 cm, co może stanowić zagrożenie dla miejscowości Półwyspu Helskiego. Wraz z temperaturą będzie się zmieniało też zasolenie wody, co może spowodować zmniejszenie populacji dorsza w Bałtyku. Apogeum tych zmian według naukowców ma nastąpić pod koniec tego stulecia.
