Na kaszubskich stołach w święta królują śledzie, dorsze i pstrągi. Ci, którzy zdecydują się na karpia w tym roku zapłacą za niego więcej.
– Karpie to jeden z najbardziej naturalnych produktów, a tegoroczna pogoda i bark słońca nie sprzyjały hodowli karpi – mówi Zbigniew Szczepański prezes Towarzystwa Promocji Ryb „Pan Karp”.
Karpia nie zabraknie natomiast w Watykanie. Towarzystwo Promocji Ryb „Pan Karp” jak co roku dostarcza polskie ryby na Święta do Stolicy Apostolskiej. W Rzymie pojawi się także kaszubski akcent. Ryby wzbogacą stoły sekretarza stanu, ambasadora Unii Europejskiej przy Stolicy Apostolskiej, a także wigilię dla bezdomnych i ubogich w Watykanie w domu opieki Dar Miłosierdzia, którym opiekuje się arcybiskup Konrad Krajewski, jałmużnik papieski.
