Lasy Państwowe rozpoczynają intensywną produkcję sadzonek
Do zwiększonej produkcji szkółkarskiej przystępuje Regionalna Dyrekcja Lasów Państwowych w Gdańsku. W ciągu 5 najbliższych lat musi zapewnić sadzonki do odnowienia lasów, które zniszczyła niedawna nawałnica. Największe straty odnotowano na Pomorzu w Nadleśnictwach Lipusz, Cewice, Lubichowo, Kartuzy i Kościerzyna.
– Sadzonki musimy dopiero wyprodukować, ale zdążymy – zapewnia Adam Kwiatkowski, dyrektor Regionalnej Dyrekcji Lasów Państwowych w Gdańsku.
Jak szacuje Regionalna Dyrekcja w Gdańsku, sierpniowy huragan zniszczył blisko 10 tysięcy hektarów lasu. Ich właściciele będą zobowiązani w ciągu najbliższych 5 lat do odnowienia tej powierzchni. W zniszczonych huraganem lasach rozpoczęły się intensywne prace porządkowe. Jak informuje Regionalna Dyrekcja, największe zaawansowanie prac, sięgające 15 procent, jest w Nadleśnictwie Kartuzy, najmniejsze w najbardziej zniszczonych Nadleśnictwach Lipusz i Cewice. Porządkowanie lasów, według szacunków leśników, ma potrwać od 2019 roku.
