Posłowie PO proponują utworzenie ekostref w miastach, a samochody miałyby być podzielone na 4 klasy ekologiczne w zależności od daty rejestracji, rodzaju silnika i typu homologacji.
Do utworzenia ekostref upoważnione byłyby samorządy, w zależności od jakości powietrza w mieście. Posłowie proponują 4 strefy: czerwoną, żółtą, zieloną i niebieską. W ogóle nie wjadą do nich właściciele aut z silnikami diesla zarejestrowanymi przed 1997 rokiem. Do czwartej strefy czerwonej dopuszczone mają być diesle w wieku 15-18 lat a do trzecie żółtej strefy będą mogły wjeżdżać samochody z silnikiem diesla w wieku 11-14 lat. Bardziej uprzywilejowane będą auta z silnikami benzynowymi, te wjadą już do trzeciej zielonej strefy, jeśli będą nie młodsze jak 15 lat, do tej strefy dopuszczone będą też diesle w wieku 6-10 lat. Do ścisłego centrum miasta nieograniczony wjazd będą miały tylko pojazdy młodsze, a także samochody na gaz oraz auta zabytkowe. Wolny wjazd mają mieć też inwalidzi i mieszkańcy obszarów objętych ekostrefą. Nowe przepisy miałyby wejść w życie już w 2016 roku. A więcej o temacie powiemy w audycji Ekopatrol o godzinie 10:15.
