Inwestycje kolejowe i drogowe w Wejherowie
Tunele i przejścia kolejowe w Wejherowie wybuduje PKP PLK – miejski samorząd zawarł ze spółką porozumienie w tej sprawie. To kolejny krok by lepiej skomunikować dzielnice północe z południowymi.
– Bez pomocy kolejowej spółki byłoby trudno sprostać temu kosztownemu przedsięwzięciu – mówi prezydent Wejherowa Krzysztof Hildebrandt.
Przecinająca Wejherowo krajowa szóstka i linia kolejowa są zmorą zarówno kierowców jak i pieszych. Odkorkować miasto mają budowane etapami węzły – drogowe i przesiadkowy. PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe zobowiązały się do budowy wiaduktu – czyli tunelu – w Nanicach, remontu wiaduktu przy ulicy św. Jana, budowy wiaduktu i przebudowy przejścia dla pieszych w Śmiechowie. Kolejowa spółka przebuduje też przejście z wyjściem na perony stacji Wejherowo. Po stronie miasta zostaną inwestycje drogowe powiązane z kolejowymi – mówi zastępca prezydenta Wejherowa Beata Rutkiewicz. Inwestycje w Wejherowie PKP PLK wykona w ramach modernizacji kolejowej linii nr 202 z Gdyni do Słupska. Prace muszą być wykonane do 2023 roku, czyli w terminie rozliczenia unijnego dofinansowania.
