„In The Now” – Barry Gibb
Znana jest już data premiery najnowszej solowej płyty ostatniego żyjącego członka Bee Gees – Barry’ego Gibba. Krążek „In The Now” ukaże się 7 października. Podobnie jak założona z braćmi Robinem i Maurice’m legendarna formacja, nowy album Barry’ego też ‘pozostaje w rodzinie’ – utwory na niego artysta napisał razem z synami Stephenem i Ashley’em.
Album wyprodukowany przez Barry’ego i Johna Merchanta będzie drugim solowym dziełem artysty i pierwszym od czasu ostatniej płyty studyjnej Bee Gees z roku 2001 roku. To powrót w blask reflektorów właściciela jednego z najbardziej charakterystycznych głosów w historii muzyki pop, rock i R&B. 12 Utworów na płytę nagranych zostało w Miami wraz z ekipą, która towarzyszyła Barry’emu podczas jego ostatniej trasy koncertowej w 2014 r
Jako producent/kompozytor, Barry Gibb odegrał kluczową rolę w tworzeniu najważniejszych płyt takich artystów jak Barbra Streisand (‘Guilty’), Dolly Parton i Kenny Rogers (‘Islands In The Stream’) czy Dionne Warwick (‘Heartbreaker’). Razem z Robinem, Mauricem i Andy’m, bracia Gibb umieścili na szczycie listy Billbaordu aż 19 płyt, w tym aż 6 kolejnych płyt z rzędu, dorównując tym samym Beatlesom.
