Gdyńskie Centrum Diagnostyki i Leczenia Chorób Piersi z prestiżowym certyfikatem
Placówka działająca w Szpitalu Morskim im. PCK uzyskała akredytację Międzynarodowego Towarzystwa Chorób Piersi.
Z chwilą zgłoszenia się do Centrum pacjentka zostaje objęta ściśle zaplanowanym procesem diagnostycznym i jeśli to konieczne, terapeutycznym. Zapewnia to interdyscyplinarny zespół złożony z onkologów, chirurgów onkologicznych, radioterapeutów, radiologów i patomorfologów. Należy do niego także personel pielęgniarski, technicy, fizjoterapeuci i psycholodzy. Po zakończeniu leczenia pacjentka objęta jest opieką Poradni Onkologicznej. W walce z chorobą wspierana jest też przez współpracujące z Centrum grupy wsparcia – w tym Amazonki. Uzyskanie akredytacji Międzynarodowego Towarzystwa Chorób Piersi poprzedziły trzyletnie przygotowania. Centrum Diagnostyki i Leczenia Chorób Piersi w Gdyńskim Centrum Onkologii to jedyny na Pomorzu i piąty w Polsce ośrodek, który może pochwalić się tym certyfikatem.
