Fragmenty „Tuszkowskiej Matki” przekazane do celów edukacyjnych
„Tuszkowska Matka” – kultowa sosna powalona sierpniową wichurą, pozostanie na swoim miejscu. Liczący ponad 230 lat pomnik przyrody będzie zabezpieczony przez Nadleśnictwo Lipusz. Jej fragmenty mają też zostać przekazane leśnikom w celach edukacyjnych.
– To drzewo było naszym symbolem – mówi nauczycielka języka kaszubskiego w miejscowej szkole, Danuta Rolbiecka-Romahn.
„Tuszkowska Matka” to legendarna sosna, z którą na Kaszubach wiązano wiele opowieści. Według jednej z nich, wyrosła ona w miejscu, gdzie pochowano najstarszą mieszkankę wsi Tuszkowy. Zgodnie z prawem, powalone drzewo jako pomnik przyrody, musi pozostać na swoim miejscu. Nadleśnictwo Lipusz wystąpiło jednak do gminy o zgodę na odcięcie kilku fragmentów sosny – mówi Anna Kukier, rzecznik prasowy Nadleśnictwa Lipusz. W gminie Lipusz dalej będzie funkcjonował szlak turystyczny o nazwie „Pętla Tuszkowskiej Matki”.
