Czy to koniec fotoradarów straży miejskiej?
Odebranie nam fotoradarów odbije się na bezpieczeństwie mieszkańców – komentują strażnicy miejscy decyzję Sejmu z ubiegłego tygodnia. Sprawą zajmie się w przyszłym tygodniu senat, który chce przywrócić straży możliwość korzystania z urządzeń stacjonarnych.
Przegłosowana w ubiegły piątek nowelizacja odbiera od przyszłego roku Strażom Miejskim w całej Polsce uprawnienia do obsługiwania fotoradarów i wystawiania mandatów na podstawie zarejestrowanych przez nie wykroczeń. Nowe przepisy wzbudziły emocje po obu stronach barykady. Kierowcy, którzy nie ukrywają swojej niechęci do żółtych skrzynek zacierają ręce. Jak mówią: Fotoradary to tylko narzędzia do polowania na mandaty, i nie zastąpią kultury jazdy i zdrowego rozsądku. Ich radość jest jednak przedwczesna. Po pierwsze, ustawa zacznie obowiązywać od 1 stycznia przyszłego roku – do tego czasu straż może z fotoradarów korzystać. Po drugie ich liczba się nie zmniejszy, zmieni się jedynie operator – z urządzeń korzystać będzie Główna Inspekcja Transportu Drogowego i policja. Suchej nitki nie zostawia na nowych przepisach komendant wejherowskiej straży, Zenon Hinca, bo jego zdaniem – to tylko popularna decyzja polityczna przed wyborami i skok na samorządową kasę.
Głosowanie w Senacie już w przyszłym tygodniu. Senatorowie chcą m.in. by straży gminnej przywrócić prawo do korzystania z fotoradarów stacjonarnych, w tym rejestrujących przejazd na czerwonym świetle. Potem ustawa wróci do Sejmu.
