Zostaw auto w garażu, a do pracy, szkoły czy na zakupy – jedź komunikacją miejską lub rowerem – zachęcają dzisiaj samorządy i organizacje ekologiczne. 22 września obchodzimy europejski dzień bez samochodu!
W Gdańsku każdy właściciel lub współwłaściciel auta może dzisiaj skorzystać z komunikacji miejskiej za darmo! Do wyboru ma tramwaje, autobusy, pociągi SKM i Pomorskiej Kolei Metropolitalnej. Zarząd Transportu Miejskiego w Gdańsku zaznacza, że aby skorzystać z darmowego przejazdu trzeba mieć przy sobie ważny dowód rejestracyjny.
Do niekorzystania z samochodu zachęca też dzisiaj w specjalnym komunikacie Ministerstwa Środowiska. Z jego danych wynika, że w wypadkach samochodowych co roku ginie ponad 3 tysiące osób, a z powodu zanieczyszczeń powietrza spowodowanych między innymi spalinami przedwcześnie umiera 2 tysiące osób. „Spacer czy jazda rowerem zmniejszają ogólny bilans emisji zanieczyszczeń i są po prostu zdrowsze”.- czytamy w apelu Ministerstwa Środowiska.
