Czy powstanie kopalnia soli w gminie Puck?
Władze gminy Puck będą uważnie przyglądać się badaniom złóż soli potasowej. Zgodę na przeprowadzenie rozpoznania otrzymało dwóch koncesjonariuszy: Polski Potas i KGHM Polska Miedź.
– Wnikliwie przeanalizujemy bilans zysków i strat – mówi Tadeusz Puszkarczuk.
Chodzi o wysokiej jakości bogate złoża soli potasowej, szacowane na 597 milionów ton. Sól wydobywa się w systemie kopalni szybowej. To oznacza dla gminy stały przychód, ale i możliwe szkody środowiskowe. Dlatego zanim władze gminy zgodzą się na inwestycję, chcą poznać wyniki badań, które mogą potrwać 6 miesięcy. Obecność surowca na terenie gminy została udokumentowana w latach 70., ale dopiero pod koniec ubiegłego roku Ministerstwo Ochrony Środowiska wydało koncesje na rozpoznanie i poszukiwanie złoża. – Otrzymały ją dwa potężne podmioty – dodaje wójt Puszkarczuk.
Sole potasowe używane są w rolnictwie jako nawozy, oraz w przemyśle chemicznym. Termin rozpoczęcia badań przez KGHM i Polski Potas nie jest znany. Czas realizacji ewentualnej inwestycji to minimum 5 lat.
