Będą walczyć z podrzucaniem śmieci i nielegalnymi wysypiskami
Gmina Kościerzyna rozpoczyna walkę z nielegalnymi wysypiskami śmieci i podrzucaniem przez letników odpadów do koszy na cmentarzach, przystankach czy prywatnych posesjach. W ostatni weekend akcję monitoringu tych miejsc podjęła straż gminna i leśna oraz policja.
– Wielu z nich nie skorzystało z tej oferty, a ich śmieci są podrzucane do innych miejsc – mówi Grzegorz Świtała zastępca wójta gminy Kościerzyna.
Jeszcze do niedawna letnicy mogli korzystać ze zbiorczych pojemników na odpady, które ustawione były na terenach rekreacyjnych w gminie Kościerzyna. Obecnie każdy z właścicieli domków letniskowych zobowiązany jest do posiadania własnych pojemników, za które musi zapłacić opłatę 260 zł rocznie. Na terenie gminy Kościerzyna jest ponad 2 tys domków letniskowych. Strażnicy i policjanci rozdawali podczas akcji ich właścicielom deklaracje dotyczące odbioru śmieci. Zgodnie z prawem mieszkańcy oraz właściciele domków letniskowych są zobowiązani do złożenia deklaracji opłaty za gospodarowanie odpadami do Związku Gmin Wierzyca w Starogardzie Gdańskim. Akcje monitoringu na terenach rekreacyjnych w gminie Kościerzyna mają być powtarzane cyklicznie.
