Bałtyk ma plan połowów dorsza, śledzia i szprota
Kompleksowo o zasobach Bałtyku – w Brukseli przyjęto założenia wielogatunkowego planu zarządzania stadami dorsza, śledzia i szprota.
W Brukseli przyjęto założenia wielogatunkowego planu zarządzania stadami dorsza, śledzia i szprota. To pierwszy dokument tego typu w ramach nowej, wspólnej polityki rybołówstwa Unii Europejskiej. Jego założenia przedstawi Jan Jabłoński.
Po 10 miesiącach trudnych negocjacji z Radą i Komisją Europejską, Bałtyk ma wreszcie plan połowów dorsza, śledzia i szprota.
Na forum europejskim osiągnięto kompromis w sprawie ustanowienia ram dla wielogatunkowego planu zarządzania tymi stadami. Jego celem jest umożliwienie bardziej efektywnego, niż do tej pory zarządzania tymi zasobami w Morzu Bałtyckim. Negocjacje w tym zakresie z ramienia Parlamentu Europejskiego prowadził poseł Jarosław Wałęsa. – Dorsz, śledź i szprot są podstawowymi gatunkami łowionymi w Morzu Bałtyckim, zachodzą między nimi silne interakcje biologiczne. W odróżnieniu do stosowanego dotychczas zarządzania opartego na pojedynczych gatunkach, zarządzanie wielogatunkowe bierze pod uwagę wpływ dorsza na zasoby śledzia i szprota i odwrotnie – tłumaczy Jarosław Wałęsa.
Jest to pierwszy tego typu plan, w ramach nowej polityki rybołówstwa UE, który ma zapewnić zrównoważoną eksploatację stad oraz stabilność wielkości uprawnień do połowów.
