Aleksander Celarek i jego „Kaszubskie Łodzie”
„Kaszubskie Łodzie”, książka znanego szkutnika, żaglomistrza i pasjonata tradycyjnych pomeranek, Aleksandra Celarka doczekała się kolejnego wydania nakładem Wydawnictwa Oskar. Choć pierwsze wydanie miało miejsce w 1987 roku, to mimo upływu lat dzieło nadal pozostaje kompendium wiedzy o dziejach kaszubskich łodzi rybackich, a także o oryginalnym warsztacie i unikalnym stylu rzemieślniczym kaszubskich szkutników.
Nowa edycja wzbogacona została o dwa aneksy poświęcone zlotom łodzi kaszubskich w Chałupach oraz morskiej pielgrzymce rybaków do Pucka. O tym jak powstawała książka z Aleksandrem Celarkiem rozmawiał Marcin Szczepański.
Przypadek sprawił, że Andrzej Celarek, szkutnik z Chałup stał się autorytetem w dziedzinie dziejów i budowy tradycyjnych kaszubskich pomeranek. Pasja do żeglarstwa, która pchnęła młodego studenta do poznawania tajników szkutnictwa, po latach zaowocowała kilkudziesięcioma wybudowanymi łodziami i wieloma publikacjami w prasie polskiej i zagranicznej. „Kaszubskie Łodzie” jego autorstwa, wznowione niedawno nakładem Wydawnictwa Oskar do dziś uznawane są za vademecum wiedzy na temat pomeranek. Aleksander Celarek jest inżynierem mechanikiem, prowadzi własny warsztat szkutniczy i żaglomistrzowski w Chałupach. Jest twórcą m. in. repliki łodzi św. Wojciecha, a także jednym z ostatnich szkutników, którzy potrafią budować pomeranki.
Tradycyjne, drewniane łodzie odchodzą powoli w zapomnienie. Sztuka ich budowania zanika, a jedną z ostatnich osób które znają sekrety dawnego szkutnictwa jest Aleksander Celarek. Swoją wiedzę, opartą m. in. na dziesiątkach rozmów ze starymi rybakami szkutnik z Chałup przelał na karty książki „Kaszubskie łodzie”. Marcin Szczepański podpytał autora o warsztatowe tajniki tradycyjnego rzemiosła.
Aleksander Celarek stał się także kultywatorem tradycji kaszubskich rybaków – organizując doroczne Kaszëbsczé Bôtë Pòd Żôglama. Kaszëbsczé Bôtë Pòd Żôglama rozgrywane są nieprzerwanie od 37 lat. Co roku przyciągają kilkunastu pasjonatów tradycyjnego żeglarstwa do Chałup.
Kaszëbsczé Bôtë Pòd Żôglama co roku gromadzą pasjonatów tradycyjnych drewnianych łodzi. Interesują także turystów, dla których to niecodzienny widok. Kaszubskie pomeranki są zupełnie inne od swoich odpowiedników ze Skandynawii, a jednak czerpią i z tamtejszych wzorców pełnymi garściami. Aleksander Celarek, szkutnik, żaglomistrz i pomysłodawca Kaszëbsczé Bôtë Pòd Żôglama wytłumaczył, dlaczego tak się dzieje. Na tym kończymy spotkania z Aleksandrem Celarkiem, z którym od poniedziałku codziennie poznawaliśmy kaszubskie łodzie.
