Gdyńskie Centrum Zdrowia oficjalnie otwarte
Zostało utworzone na bazie Wydziału Zdrowia Urzędu Miasta Gdyni, ma kreować politykę zdrowotną miasta. Będzie działało w imieniu samorządu.
Wśród głównych celów Gdyńskiego Centrum Zdrowia są: analiza i ocena potrzeb zdrowotnych gdynian oraz inicjowanie i prowadzenie programów związanych profilaktyką zdrowia – poinformował zespół prasowy gdyńskiego Urzędu Miasta. Centrum będzie udzielać informacji o tym jakie działania zdrowotne prowadzone są w Gdyni, ma też prowadzić nadzór nad żłobkami. To również miejsce w którym można otrzymać orzeczenie o niepełnosprawności. Gdyńskie Centrum Zdrowia mieści się przy ulicy Władysława IV 43 – w budynku Hossy, na drugim piętrze.
Formalnie działa już od kilku miesięcy. Przeprowadziło już bezpłatne badania dla mieszkańców, była też akcja „Spraw(dź) się na wiosnę” w Centrum Riviera dotycząca profilaktyki raka piersi oraz raka szyjki macicy. Rozpoczęło też pilotażowy cykl szkoleń dla dzieci ze szkół podstawowych dotyczący obsługi i pomocy osobom niepełnosprawnym. W tej chwili prowadzi też szkolenia dla bibliotekarzy, którzy uczą się języka migowego.
