W gminie Puck wywiązano się z obowiązku dekomunizacji
Dodając uzasadnienia do dwóch nazw ulic w gminie Puck wywiązano się z obowiązku nałożonego przez tzw. ustawę dekomunizacyjną. Do grudnia ubiegłego roku samorządy miały obowiązek zmienić nazwy m.in. ulic odwołujące się do ustrojów totalitarnych, w tym komunizmu.
– Radni podjęli uchwałę dodając brakujące uzasadnienia i wiążąc nazwy z zaślubinami Polski z morzem – mówi wójt gminy Puck Tadeusz Puszkarczuk.
W gminie Puck dotyczyło to dwóch ulicy Wyzwolenia w Gnieżdżewie i Strzelnie. Nazwę Wyzwolenia utrzymano zatem dla ulic w Gnieżdżewie i Strzelnie. W Starzyńskim Dworze zostanie także pomnik przedstawiający żołnierza Armii Czerwonej. Przy podejmowaniu decyzji o pozostawieniu pomnika w Starzyńskim Dworze w gminie Puck posiłkowano się opinią ekspertów z Uniwersytetu Warszawskiego.
