W Rumi wymieniają piece – straż miejska prowadzi kontrole
By w mieście było łatwiej oddychać – w Rumi wymieniają piece, a straż miejska prowadzi kontrole w razie podejrzeń o spalanie śmieci. Rumia po raz pierwszy uczestniczyła w programie Czyste Powietrze Pomorza – dzięki czemu 9 właścicieli nieruchomości wymieniło piece opalane węglem na kotły na gaz.
– Odmowa właściciela posesji będzie skutkowała wezwaniem policji – zapowiada komendant Roman Świrski.
25 procent kosztu sfinansował Wojewódzki Fundusz Ochrony Środowiska i Gospodarki Wodnej w Gdańsku, kolejne 5 procent dołożył miejski samorząd – komentował przewodniczący rady miasta Rumi Ariel Sinicki. Do zmniejszenia emisji szkodliwych substancji do powietrza mają się przyczynić kontrole strażników miejskich. Od stycznia mają uprawnienia i sprzęt do pobierania próbek popiołu z pieców w razie podejrzenia o spalaniu w nich śmieci. W pierwszej kolejności strażnicy miejscy skontrolują te nieruchomości, na które wpływały skargi.
