Najzdolniejsi młodzi sportowcy i artyści z Rumi nagrodzeni
Za wybitne wyniki w sporcie i na polu kultury – 52 młodych mieszkańców Rumi doceniono stypendiami burmistrza. Nagrody otrzymali na uroczystej gali w Miejskim Ośrodku Sportu i Rekreacji.
– Chcemy by zdolna młodzież widziała, że doceniamy ich wysiłki – mówi zastępca burmistrza Rumi Piotr Wittbrodtt.
W gronie wyróżnionych znaleźli się uczniowie szkół ponadgimnazjalnych z Rumi którzy legitymowali się np. występami na zawodach rangi mistrzostwa Polski czy wernisażami własnych prac. Na ich wsparcie miejski samorząd przeznaczył 50 tys złotych. Pomysły na wykorzystanie pieniędzy stypendyści mają różne. Wszyscy jednak zgodnie podkreślają, że taka nagroda motywuje do dalszej pracy. Na gali w rumskim MOSIR podziękowano także Stowarzyszeniu Osób Niepełnosprawnych Tęcza – za ćwierć wieku pracy na rzecz miasta.
