Mieszkańcy Trójmiasta decydują o lokalizacji stacji Sieci Roweru Metropolitalnego.
Swoje zdanie w tej sprawie wyraziło już kilkaset osób. Konsultacje potrwają do 22 września. Rower Metropolitalny to projekt, który będzie działał na terenie kilkunastu pomorskich gmin. Do 2019 roku powstanie system wypożyczania roweru oraz 20 węzłów przesiadkowych. Udostępnionych zostanie łącznie 3 600 jednośladów. Większość trafi do Gdańska, Gdyni i Sopotu, a także mniejszych miejscowości. W dziesięciu gminach już ustalono lokalizację stacji rowerowych. Są to m.in Kartuzy, Puck, Rumia, Sierakowice, Somonino, Władysławowo, Żukowo i Stężyca. Wójt tej ostatniej, Tomasz Brzoskowski deklaruje gotowość jako pierwszy. Kilka jednośladów umieszczonych zostanie w Gołubiu, gdzie dobiegły właśnie końca prace przy budowie węzła integracyjnego. Rowery, które mają jeździć po Kaszubach już w przyszłym roku, mają być wyposażone w GPS, a także urządzenia umożliwiające wypożyczenie za pomocą karty płatniczej czy smartfona.
