Zasada dwóch kadencji planowana przez PiS odłożona
Dobrze, że partia rządząca potrafi zweryfikować swoje projekty – ocenia wójt Stężycy. Tomasz Brzoskowski odniósł się do zapowiedzi prezesa PiS, że tzw. zasada tzw. wstecznej dwukadencyjności nie będzie obowiązywała od najbliższych wyborów samorządowych.
Temu pomysłowi kategorycznie sprzeciwiły się samorządy – Związek Miast Polskich i inne związki samorządowe w przyjętej Karcie Samorządności, była też manifestacja w Warszawie. Zapowiedź wprowadzenia nowej zasady z dwukadencyjnym opóźnieniem to dobra informacja dla wójtów, burmistrzów i prezydentów miast na Kaszubach, ponieważ większość z nich nie mogłaby startować w przyszłych wyborach – oceniał wójt gminy Stężyca Tomasz Brzoskowski. Gdyby zmiany wprowadzono przed najbliższymi wyborami to np. w powiecie kartuskim o ponowny wybór na stanowisko mogliby się ubiegać jedynie włodarze z Żukowa i Chmielna.
Jednak PiS ze swojego pomysłu całkowicie nie rezygnuje. Jak zapowiedział Jarosław Kaczyński – zasada dwóch kadencji zostanie wprowadzona, ale z karencją – czyli odłożeniem na dwie kadencje.
