Jarosław Wałęsa ponownie wiceprzewodniczącym Komisji Rybołówstwa
Jarosław Wałęsa został ponownie wybrany wiceprzewodniczącym Komisji Rybołówstwa Parlamentu Europejskiego.
Pochodzący z Gdańska Jarosław Wałęsa jest europosłem od 9 lat, a od siedmiu pracuje w komisji zajmującej się tematyką zarządzania wspólnymi zasobami, europejskimi flotami rybackimi oraz ochrony zasobów rybnych. Jak informuje Wałęsa – największym wyzwaniem w pracach Komisji Rybołówstwa w pierwszej połowie tej kadencji był dokument jego autorstwa. Ustanawiał on ramy dla wielogatunkowego planu zarządzania stadami dorsza, śledzia i szprota by bardziej efektywnie niż do tej pory zarządzać tymi zasobami w Morzu Bałtyckim.
W drugiej połowie kadencji komisji wiceprzewodniczący chce się skupić na dalszym monitorowaniu wdrażania reformy Wspólnej Polityki Rybołówstwa. Priorytetem Jarosława Wałęsy jest też reforma środków technicznych – obejmujących szeroką gamę przepisów regulujących sposoby, miejsca i czas dokonywania połowów.
