Nie dojdzie do pięcioletniego zakazu połowu ryb na Bałtyku. Taka propozycja wyszła od części środowisk rybackich. Jednak Marek Gróbarczyk, minister Gospodarki Morskiej i Żeglugi Śródlądowej uważa, że takie działania doprowadziłyby do unicestwienia branży rybnej.
Na pewno jednak podjęte zostaną inne działania, które pomogą rybakom w rozwiązaniu problemu braku ryb w Morzu Bałtyckim – powiedział na spotkaniu w Kołobrzegu minister Gróbarczyk. Jednocześnie minister nie wykluczył, że mogą być wprowadzone przerwy w połowach. – Wspólnie z rybakami pracujemy nad długofalową strategią dla rybołówstwa. Rozważamy kilkumiesięczne przerwy w poławianiu w ciągu roku, by ułatwić odbudowę populacji ryb w Bałtyku. Przygotowujemy propozycje rekompensat za te przerwy w połowach – mówił w Kołobrzegu polski minister Gospodarki Morskiej i Żeglugi Śródlądowej.
