Akcja „Stroisz” – leśnicy skontrolują miejsca, gdzie rosną jodły
Straż Leśna rozpoczęła akcję „Stroisz”. Patrole będą kontrolować miejsca, gdzie rosną jodły. Leśnicy będą też sprawdzać źródło i legalność pochodzenia gałęzi drzew i krzewów iglastych, będących bazą do produkcji wieńców i ozdób nagrobnych.
Zwiększony popyt na ten materiał roślinny przed dniem Wszystkich Świętych to poważne zagrożenie dla naszych lasów. Skala kradzieży i wielkość zniszczeń w lasach w znacznym stopniu zależy od liczby amatorów kradzionego stroiszu. Dlatego warto o tym pomyśleć przed zakupem – zachęca Regionalna Dyrekcja Lasów Państwowych w Gdańsku. Złodzieje stroiszu tną gałęzie jak popadnie – byle szybciej i więcej. Pozyskana przez nich jedna wiązka to jedna zniszczona około 20-letnia jodła. Dlatego straż leśna zwiększa częstotliwość patroli w okolicy młodników jodłowych. Kontrolom będą też poddawane pojazdy poruszające się po drogach leśnych oraz przebiegających w pobliżu lasów. Za kradzież stroiszu grozi mandat do pięciuset złotych lub wymierzana przez sąd grzywna do 5 tys. zł. W ubiegłym roku podczas ogólnopolskiej akcji „Stroisz” stwierdzono 50 przypadków nielegalnego pozyskiwania gałązek, wykryto też 130 przypadków kradzieży drewna oraz znaleziono 155 wnyków. Strażnicy leśni nałożyli ponad 300 mandatów na kwotę 36 tys. zł.
