Zbiory miodu w tym roku nawet o 1/3 mniejsze niż dotychczas. Pszczelarze winią za to pogodę, zwracają też uwagę na sposób używania pestycydów w rolnictwie.
O stratach notowanych przez pszczelarzy mówiliśmy wiosną tego roku – wtedy rodziny pszczele zdziesiątkowała m.in. zbyt łagodna zima gdy owady składały jaja zamiast spać. Sytuacji nie poprawiły upały na przełomie czerwca i lipca, do słabych zbiorów miodu przyczynił się też gorący i suchy sierpień. Problemem staje się podtrzymanie aktywności pszczelich rojów, które są słabe i trzeba je dokarmiać, by dotrwały do zbiorów miodu wrzosowego. Na własnej skórze przekonał się o tym Franciszek Błaszkowski, pszczelarz z Sulęczyna, posiadający 40 pasiek. Co roku produkował około 600 słoików miodu, w tym roku o 200 mniej. Pszczelarze liczą jeszcze na zbiory miodu wrzosowego, wiadomo jednak, że i te będą będą niewielkie.
