O respektowanie czerwonej flagi i o rozwagę – apelują ratownicy. W ciągu ostatnich trzech dni w naszym województwie utopiły się trzy osoby. W Gdańsku 37-latek, który skoczył z mostu wantowego do Martwej Wisły, w gminie Żukowo 21-latek który wszedł do wody na niestrzeżonej plaży.
– Dlatego ratownicy ponawiają apel o rozsądek, nieprzecenianie swoich umiejętności i o respektowanie ich poleceń – wyjaśnia prezes WOPR w Pucku Jarosław Radtke.
W powiecie puckim w piątek topiło się sześć osób, jednej z nich – 34 latka z Warszawy wypoczywającego w Jastarni – nie udało się uratować. Nad morzem były trudne warunki, wysoka fala, a woda zimna. Jak mówi – chęć kąpieli w Bałtyku jest u niektórych tak silna, że ignorują ostrzeżenia i zakazy. Niektórzy potrafią odejść na kilometr od strzeżonego kąpieliska by uniemożliwić ratownikom powstrzymanie ich przed wejściem do wody. Według prognoz posiadanych przez ratowników puckiego WOPR trudne warunki w Bałtyku mają się jeszcze utrzymać przez dwa – trzy dni. Oznacza to zimną wodę i wysokie fale – dlatego zalecają wypoczywać nad wodą na kąpieliskach strzeżonych i proszą o rozwagę.
