Nadmorskie kąpieliska opanowały sinice
Kąpieliska zamknięte od Mechelinek w gminie Kosakowo do Gdańska Brzeźna. Wodę opanowały tam sinice. Namnażaniu tych bakterii sprzyjają wysokie temperatury.
Mogą być niebezpieczne dla ludzi – wywołują podrażnienia skóry, mogą także powodować biegunkę, bóle brzucha, wymioty, a także bóle mięśni i stawów. Woda, w której jest dużo tych bakterii jest mętna, zmienia zabarwienie, brzydko pachnie – przypomina gęstą zupę. Takie warunki stwierdzono w większości trójmiejskich plaż i przy brzegu gminy Kosakowo. Na mapie w serwisie prowadzonym przez Państwową Inspekcję Sanitarną czerwonym kolorem zaznaczono plażę w Mechelinkach, Gdyni i Gdańsku – aż do Domu Zdrojowego w Gdańsku Brzeźnie.
Czerwonym kolorem oznaczono także kąpielisko w Garczynie koło Kościerzyny. Mapa w serwisie kąpieliskowym jest na bieżąco aktualizowana, o zakazie na plażach informują czerwone flagi. Obowiązuje aż do odwołania.
