Lato w Muzeum Emigracji w Gdyni
W sierpniu Muzeum Emigracji w Gdyni otwiera swoje podwoje dla wszystkich poszukujących wytchnienia od upalnych plaż, bulwarów i skwerów.
Zapraszamy na cykl koncertów „Z widokiem na świat”, podczas których wybierzemy się w muzyczną podróż wraz z artystami, dla których wspólnym mianownikiem jest migracja, multikulturowość i poszukiwanie inspiracji w otaczającym świecie.
Usłyszymy znakomitych muzyków z zagranicy, którzy realizują swoje muzyczne wizje w Polsce, jak pochodzącego z Portugalii João de Sousa & Fado Polaco, czy niemiecko-polską formację Eric Shoves Them in Their Pockets.
Zobaczymy także rodzimych twórców, którzy rewolucjonizują alternatywną scenę poza granicami – w piątek, 21 sierpnia o godz. 20.00 zagra obsypana nagrodami KARI, która zaprezentuje utwory z nowego albumu w Londynie „Wounds And Bruises”. Widok na barwny muzyczny świat dopełni sceneria tarasu muzeum, z perspektywą na gdyński port.
Zapraszamy na sentymentalne seanse retro w muzealnej sali kinowej, gdzie pokażemy m.in. jeden z pierwszych filmów niemieckich w karierze Poli Negri – „Mania. Historia pracownicy fabryki papierosów” z 1918 roku (5.08, godz. 16.00). Pokazy filmów odbędą się również w Magazynie Tranzytowym, obejrzeć będzie można dokumenty „Uciekinier z Nowego Jorku” (11.08, godz. 20.30) i „Sztuka znikania” (18.08, godz. 20.30). W każdy wakacyjny czwartek natomiast do muzeum zapraszamy dzieci, dla których przygotowany został cykl warsztatów, dzięki którym odbędą podróże w czasie i przestrzeni razem z bohaterami naszej wystawy.
Aby zamknąć wakacyjny sezon i przygotować się na jesienną szarugę, zapraszamy na huczne „Pożegnanie lata”. Warsztaty dla dzieci, dedykowane spacery po wystawie stałej, muzealna gra familijna, spotkania z twórcami – to tylko niektóre z zaplanowanych z tej okazji atrakcji. Finałem wydarzenia będzie międzypokoleniowa potańcówka w rytmie swinga, na którą zaprosimy wraz z legendarnym zespołem jazzowym „The Warsaw Dixielanders”. Będzie gorąco, tanecznie i kolorowo!
