Kaszëbskô malëna na wystawie Expo 2015 w Mediolanie
Słodki kaszubski akcent w Mediolanie. Plantatorzy z Kaszubskiego Stowarzyszenia Producentów Truskawek rozdawali swoje owoce na Światowej Wystawie Expo 2015.
– Była już m. in. w Strasburgu na rozpoczęcie polskiej prezydencji w Radzie Unii Europejskiej i zawsze bardzo smakowała – mówi Andrzej Klasa ze Stowarzyszenia.
To największe przedsięwzięcie gospodarczo – społeczne w Europie, gdzie wspólnie promuje się niemal 150 państw z całego świata. 1,5 tony truskawek trafiło do Mediolanu na zamówienie Ministerstwa Rolnictwa, jako produkt promocyjny regionu. Owoce dostarczyli plantatorzy z gmin Chmielno i Kartuzy, a rozdawano je przed polskim pawilonem w ubiegły poniedziałek. To nie pierwszy raz, kiedy kaszëbskô malëna trafia za granicę jako wizytówka Kaszub. Kaszubska truskawka od 2009 roku jest produktem zarejestrowanym jako Chronione Oznaczenie Geograficzne. Można ją uprawiać tylko w okolicach Bytowa i Kartuz oraz niektórych gmin powiatu wejherowskiego, gdańskiego i lęborskiego. Według ekspertów, dzięki odpowiednim właściwościom glebowym i klimatycznym Kaszub, nasze truskawki są bardziej aromatyczna i słodsze niż te z innych regionów.
