Dzień otwarty BCT, 13 czerwca, sobota, godz. 9:00-14:00. Bałtycki Terminal Kontenerowy, ul. Kwiatkowskiego 60. Wstęp wolny.
Już trzeci raz Bałtycki Terminal Kontenerowy otwiera swoje bramy dla zwiedzających. Teraz zaskoczy gości atrakcjami przygotowanymi wspólnie z ambasadą Republiki Filipin. „Dzień otwarty” – w najbliższą sobotę 13 czerwca.
Bałtycki Terminal Kontenerowy, który mieści się w Porcie Gdynia jest jednym z największych terminali w rejonie Bałtyku i drugim co do wielkości w Polsce. Obecnie BCT kontroluje 30% polskiego rynku przeładunków, a jego potencjalna wydajność wynosi 1,2 miliona TEU, czyli 20-stopowych kontenerów rocznie. To działa na wyobraźnię, dlatego nie dziwi fakt, że co roku dzień otwarty terminalu, przyciąga tłumy zainteresowanych. To znakomita okazja dla naszych pracowników, aby mogli pokazać swoim rodzinom i znajomym gdzie i jak pracują. Ale poprzednie edycje pokazały, że to święto całej Gdyni – miasta od początku swojego istnienia związanego z portem – mówi Krzysztof Szymborski prezes BCT.
W tym roku wydarzenie zostanie wzbogacone o niespodzianki prosto z Filipin. Postanowiliśmy zaakcentować fakt, że Bałtycki Terminal Kontenerowy jest jednym z 5 najważniejszych terminali filipińskiej grupy ICTSI. Dlatego też, z okazji Dnia Niepodległości Republiki Filipin zorganizujemy pokazy i atrakcje, które przybliżą zwiedzającym kulturę, tradycje i kuchnię tego azjatyckiego kraju – dodaje Krzysztof Szymborski. Oprócz tego, tradycyjnie będzie można zobaczyć z bliska i wejść do kabiny dźwigów samobieżnych, reachstackerów i ciągników terminalowych. Pracujące w porcie służby portowe takie jak Portowa Straż Pożarna oraz Izba Celna z Gdyni także przygotowały swoje prezentacje. Będzie również możliwość odwiedzenia pokładów ciężkich holowników firmy Fairplay pracujących w naszym porcie a także odbycia krótkiego rejsu po samym porcie w towarzystwie przewodnika – wymienia Michał Kużajczyk z BCT.
Niezmotoryzowani mieszkańcy, lub po prostu tacy, którzy chcą zostawić samochód w domu i udać się na teren terminalu komunikacją miejską, mogą to zrobić korzystając z darmowego autobusu linii F4, który będzie kursował między Skwerem Kościuszki i Terminalem, co godzinę od 9.00.
