Ponad 2700 polubień ma już facebook’owy profil zachęcający do starań o kaszubską wersję tego portalu społecznościowego. Potrzebnych jest co najmniej 7 tysięcy głosów w tej sprawie.
Akcja zbierania poparcia dla kaszubskiej wersji facebooka ruszyła z początkiem maja. Że mobilizacja jest możliwa i daje wymierne skutki udowodnili Ślązacy – w odpowiedzi na ich wnioski Facebook już rozpoczął procedurę przygotowywania śląskiego wydania. Kaszubska wersja Facebooka ma zachęcać młodzież uczącą się rodnej mowy do jej używania na co dzień. Ma być też narzędziem służącym rozwojowi języka kaszubskiego. Instrukcję, jak pomóc w wywalczeniu kaszubskiego facebooka, znaleźć można na profilu: „Kaszubski fb? Jo”.
