Pszczelarze notują straty. Wyginęło około 10 proc. pszczół
Straty tej wiosny notują pszczelarze. Przez lekką zimę i wirusy – na Pomorzu wyginęło około 10 proc. pszczół, w innych regionach Polski nawet do 50 proc.
– Do tego przez dodatnie temperatury tej zimy pszczoły składały jaja w czasie, gdy miały spać, co osłabiło ich kondycję i odporność – mówi Mariusz Bobrowski z Ogólnopolskiego Stowarzyszenia Pszczelarzy „Polanka” w Kościerzynie.
O masowym ginięciu pszczelich rodzin pszczelarze alarmują na całym świecie już od 10 lat. Około 1/3 pszczół wyginęła już w Stanach Zjednoczonych, Chinach i Indiach. Powodem jest coraz powszechniejsza tak zwana monokultura uprawy oraz stosowanie pestycydów w rolnictwie. Pasieki dziesiątkują też choroby. Najpoważniejszym jest warroza, wywoływana przez drobne pajęczaki – roztocza. Pszczelarze jak co roku apelują też do rolników o odpowiedzialne wykonywanie na polach oprysków środkami ochrony roślin. Powinny być one wykonywane późnym popołudniem bądź wieczorem – w porze, kiedy już niewiele pszczół wylatuje z uli. W Polsce jeszcze 10 lat temu było 2,5 mln uli. Teraz jest ich około miliona.
