W Wielu odbyły się dziś uroczystości pogrzebowe Edmunda Konkolewskiego
Rodzina, przyjaciele i środowiska kaszubskie pożegnały dziś w Wielu Edmunda Konkolewskiego. Zasłużony dla gminy i regionu gawędziarz, harcerz i działacz kaszubski zmarł w wieku 98 lat.
Za młodu mieszkał w Kościerzynie. Podczas drugiej wojny światowej działał w Gryfie Pomorskim. Po wojnie założył posterunek MO, ale musiał zrezygnować ze służby za aresztowanie żołnierzy radzieckich, gdy ci okradali Kaszubów. Działał społecznie, był założycielem domu kultury w Wielu, wielokrotnym zwycięzcą turniejów gawędziarskich. Spoczął dziś na wielewskim cmentarzu, gdzie żegnały go tłumy. Za swoją działalność Edmund Konkolewski otrzymał tytuł honorowego obywatela Gminy Karsin.
