W Wejherowie powstanie cmentarz komunalny
Decyzję podjęli miejscy radni na nadzwyczajnej sesji, zwołanej w sprawie skargi mieszkanki Wejherowa.
– Nie mając danych o jego przepełnieniu nie mogliśmy odpowiednio wcześnie zareagować – mówi wiceprezydent Wejherowa Beata Rutkiewicz.
Dotyczyła ona uniemożliwienia pochówku jej męża na cmentarzu parafialnym przy ulicy Roszczynialskiego. Skargę oddalono, bo prezydent miasta nie dysponuje miejscami na cmentarzu, którego właścicielem jest Parafia pw. Trójcy Świętej. Miejski samorząd niecałe 7 lat temu zabezpieczył teren pod miejsca pochówku. To półtora hektara przy parkingu na Śmiechowie. Po oddaleniu skargi uruchomiono procedury by utworzyć tam cmentarz komunalny. W Wejherowie mają nadzieję, że formalności zostaną przeprowadzone w ciągu dwóch miesięcy. Najbardziej pesymistyczny scenariusz to pół roku.
