W Szadółkach powstanie 70 studni odprowadzających biogaz
Dobra wiadomość dla mieszkańców Szadółek i okolicznych osiedli. Zakład Utylizacyjny rozpoczął rozbudowę sieci studni odgazowujących, co przełoży się na zmniejszenie emisji uciążliwego zapachu.
– Obecnie pracuje już 200 studni odprowadzających biogaz, potrzebne są kolejne tam gdzie wzrosło jego natężenie – wyjaśnia rzecznik Zakładu Utylizacyjnego w Gdańsku – Cyprian Maciejewski.
Biogaz wydziela się samoistnie na skutek procesów fermentacji zalegających hałd śmieci i jest współodpowiedzialny za fetor dający się we znaki okolicznym mieszkańcom. Materiał zbierany w studniach odgazowujących trafia do elektrowni biogazowej, która produkuje prąd na potrzeby zakładu w Szadółkach. Prace modernizacyjne w Szadółkach potrwają do marca. Natomiast prawdziwa rewolucja ma tam nastąpić w latach 2018-2020, kiedy planowane jest oddanie do użytku dużej, hermetycznej hali oraz spalarni.
