W Stężycy powstanie Liceum Mistrzostwa Sportowego, ma kształcić przyszłych piłkarzy i siatkarzy. Porozumienie w tej sprawie podpisały samorządy gminy oraz powiatu kartuskiego.
Liceum będzie się mieścić w budynku Zespołu Kształcenia i Wychowania, zajęcia rozpoczną się z początkiem września tego roku. Mają tam kontynuować naukę uczniowie klas sportowych. Szansę dostaną też młodzi sportowcy z zewnątrz – mówi wójt gminy Stężyca Tomasz Brzoskowski. Zapewniony zostanie im dojazd, internat i wyżywienie. Uczniowie Liceum Mistrzostwa Sportowego będą mieć do dyspozycji nowoczesną, gminną bazę sportową. Początkowo w Stężycy powstaną dwa oddziały, ale będzie możliwość poszerzenia działalności.
