W Gdyni testują przegubowe trolejbusy. Na razie na różnych trasach, docelowo będą obsługiwać linię nr 27 oraz w weekendy linie 24 i 25. Przegubowce zabierają 120 pasażerów, w tym 40 na miejscach siedzących.
– Mają zmienić postrzeganie przez pasażerów komunikacji trolejbusowej, która w badaniach nieznacznie przegrywała z autobusową – mówi dyrektor ZKM Gdynia Olgierd Wyszomirski.
Są niskopodłogowe, klimatyzowane, wyposażone w system informacji pasażerskiej i ładowarki USB. Umożliwiają też przewóz rowerów. Gdynia jest jednym z trzech miast posiadających komunikację trolejbusową i jako pierwsza z nich wprowadza do taboru trolejbusy przegubowe. Obsługują one dziś linię 26 – potem kolejno: 29, 24, 25 i 28. Testy zakończą się we wtorek na linii 27. Przegubowce kupiono w ramach projektu miejskiego samorządu dotyczącego zakupu ekologicznego taboru. Gdynia kupiła w sumie 85 pojazdów komunikacji miejskiej, w tym 30 trolejbusów. 16 z nich to pojazdy przegubowe.
