Rozbito międzynarodową grupę przemytników narkotyków
Rozbito międzynarodową grupę przemytników narkotyków, aresztowano 23 osoby m.in. w Trójmieście. To wynik współpracy Morskiego Oddziału Straży Granicznej z CBŚP i służbami z Włoch oraz Hiszpanii.
Przemytnicy byli na celowniku straży granicznej od 2014 roku – grupa przemycała głównie marihuanę i haszysz z Maroka do krajów Unii Europejskiej. Narkotyki były rozprowadzane w Polsce, Wielkiej Brytanii, Szwecji, Niemczech i na Ukrainie. Do pierwszych zatrzymań doszło w lipcu ubiegłego roku. We Władysławowie strażnicy przy dwóch Polakach zabezpieczyli 38 kg haszyszu. Potem trzy osoby „wpadły” w Trójmieście. W tym roku sprawą już wspólnie zajęły Straż Graniczna i Centralne Biuro Śledcze Policji. Europol uruchomił też międzynarodową operację o kryptonimie „ESCOTA”, bo rozpracowywana grupa była coraz bardziej aktywna na terenie państw Europy Zachodniej i w rejonie Morza Śródziemnego. Pod koniec lipca zatrzymano szefa przemytników, Tomasza K. ps. „Klapa”. W sumie do sprawy zatrzymano 23 obywateli Polski, zabezpieczono prawie 3 i pół tony haszyszu, 250 kg marihuany, półtora kg kokainy i 1 kg amfetaminy – informuje Morski Oddział Straży Granicznej. Śledztwo prowadzi Prokuratura Krajowa Wydział Zamiejscowy w Gdańsku.
