Nie należy się bać udzielania pierwszej pomocy. – Już wezwanie karetki może uratować życie – mówił dziś w naszej porannej audycji Bartosz Smolik, ratownik miejskiej pływalni w Rumi.
To między innymi dzięki jego zasłudze w dwóch obiektach Miejskiego Ośrodka Sportu i Rekreacji są defibrylatory pomocne przy przywracaniu poprawnego rytmu pracy serca. Razem z Jolantą Dobrzeniecką napisał projekt do budżetu obywatelskiego. Urządzenia umieszczono na pływalni i w hali sportowo – widowiskowej:. Szkolenia pracowników rumskiego MOSiR były częścią projektu sfinansowanego z ubiegłorocznego budżetu obywatelskiego. Korzystanie z defibrylatora jest proste, urządzenie poprowadzi nas przez cały proces udzielania pomocy. W pierwszym rzędzie trzeba jednak zawsze wezwać pomoc. Wcześniej z budżetu obywatelskiego Rumi kupiono już defibrylatory dzięki projektowi Straży Miejskiej. Przy pomocy jednego z tych urządzeń latem tego roku strażnicy uratowali życie starszej kobiety.
