Nie będzie pierwszego samodzielnego kierunku o Kaszubach na Uniwersytecie Gdańskim
Uniwersytet Gdański rezygnuje z uruchomienia pierwszego samodzielnego kierunku o Kaszubach. Na Etnofilologię Kaszubską zgłosiła się zbyt mała liczba chętnych studentów. To bardzo smutna wiadomość dla środowisk kaszubskich – komentuje wiceprezes Zrzeszenia Kaszubsko – Pomorskiego Danuta Pioch. To miał być rewolucyjny krok. Środowiska kaszubskie od lat oczekiwały uruchomienia na uczelni wyższej kaszubskiego kierunku. Nie przewidziano jednak sytuacji, że młodzi ludzie nie są zainteresowani takimi studiami. Rekrutacja na Uniwersytecie Gdańskim na Etnofilologię trwała od 15 maja. Z powodu braku dostatecznej liczby chętnych przedłużono ją do wczoraj. Niestety aby kierunek ruszył powinno się na niego zdecydować 25 osób, było tylko 14 – powiedział rzecznik Uniwersytetu Krzysztof Klinkosz. Uniwersytet promował powstanie kierunku na targach edukacyjnych, w mediach kaszubskich, w internecie oraz na ulotkach i plakatach. Nie wiemy co zawiodło, ale to smutna wiadomość – komentuje wiceprezes ZKP Danuta Pioch. Jak zapewniają władze uczelni – rekrutacja na etnofilologię będzie wznowiona w kolejnym roku akademickim.
