KROKOWA: Chcą kaszubskich nazw miejscowości
Krokowa może być pierwszym samorządem w powiecie puckim gdzie staną dwujęzyczne tablice miejscowości. Krokowa w powiecie puckim chce mieć kaszubskie nazwy miejscowości. Urzędnicy gminy od miesiąca pracują nad stosownymi wnioskami i propozycjami nazw.
Przypomnijmy, dwujęzyczne tablice miejscowości z nazwami polską i kaszubską stoją już w 12 gminach na Kaszubach, a w tym roku pojawią się jeszcze w sześciu kolejnych. Decyzję o dwujęzyczności może podjąć każda gmina przeprowadzając wcześniej konsultacje społeczne. Tego obowiązku nie musi jednak spełniać 19 samorządów, w których według ostatniego spisu powszechnego więcej niż 20% mieszkańców zadeklarowało znajomość języka kaszubskiego. W takiej sytuacji jest gmina Krokowa w powiecie puckim – mówi wójt Henryk Doering. Urzędnicy chcieliby aby tablice stanęły w gminie Krokowa już w przyszłym roku. Jeśli tak się stanie będzie to pierwszy w powiecie puckim samorząd z dwujęzycznymi kaszubsko – polskimi nazwami miejscowości.
