Delegaci European Free Alliance, jednej z frakcji w Parlamencie europejskim zrzeszającej organizacje narodów bez państwa, obradowali przez trzy dni w Katowicach. O współpracy, wspólnej wizji Europy i wyzwaniach dyskutowało blisko dwustu delegatów z 41 ugrupowań europejskich mniejszości narodowych i regionów dążących do autonomii. Status członka obserwatora w Wolnym Sojuszu Europejskim ma od roku Stowarzyszenie Kaszëbskô Jednota, które przedstawiło na Walnym Zgromadzeniu stanowisko w sprawie nadania Kaszubom statusu mniejszości etnicznej w Polsce. Przedstawiciele kilkudziesięciu europejskich narodów reprezentowanych w EFA zgodzili się, że dotychczasowa sytuacja prawna Kaszubów i stosowany w praktyce rozdział języka od kultury nie odpowiada standardom demokratycznych państw.
Zjazd poparł wniosek Kaszëbsczi Jednotë – o czym więcej powiemy w następnych serwisach informacyjnych.
